How to use these calculators
Each page below is tuned to a specific mortgage amount common in the UK: from £20,000 (typical for additional borrowing or a small remortgage) up to £1,000,000 (prime London property). You'll see the monthly repayment at typical 2026 UK rates, a rate-vs-term reference table, and a worked example for that loan size.
For a general calculator where you can enter any loan amount, use the main UK Mortgage Calculator.
The maths
A standard UK repayment mortgage uses M = P · r · (1+r)ⁿ / ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly rate (annual ÷ 12), and n is the number of monthly payments (years × 12). Early payments are mostly interest; later ones pay down more principal.
